Art is one of the first forms of human expression. It has many forms. People in the whole world love music, dance, theathre, fine arts.... In our project we chose traditional art desings to learn something about art and crafts of our countries. Students from each school picked one traditional art object to represent their country. Dalecarlian horse from Sweden, .... China from Denmark, and an Easter egg from Slovakia. During our 3rd meeting in Sweeden, some of the students worked together and using the shape, colours, and design of the horse to design their own bags /see a link below/.
Assignment
1. Choose a traditional art object from your country. Write down what you know about its history and a technique used.
2. . Let yourself inspire by one of our three objects. Use the shape, design, or the technique to create your own artwork. You can, for example design a t-shirt, decorate a plate or a mug, use Danish or Swedesh design to decorate an egg, or you can simply paint an ornament on a piece of paper. Take a picture of your creation and glue it into the workbook.
